Hi all , it was a good weekend for the SLIPSTREAM CC in the 3 day , with four of our five riders crossing the finish line just outside Blessington , Declan Kinch took 8th place on stage 3 which left him in 20th overall starting the last stage , from the line the yellow jersey was on the attack which led to a very fast pace back towards the finish , a number of breaks went off the front along the route and finally Garreth Enright of the Kilcullen CC Team in the yellow rode away from a break of eight to take the stage while Declan finished just behind them along with the Green Jersey wearer Colm Bracken in a chasing break of 2 riders almost bridging the gap across this left Declan in 10th overall this weekend , while Denis McCarthy and Paul Bracken rode a strong race at the front of the main field , Andrew Bracken also had a good weekend riding on the Irish Development Team , it was unfortunite for the club to loose Ian Murphy on the first stage down to Gorey as be battled on with a chest infection which got the better of him around Hackitstown . It was a very good weekend for our south east neighbours Wexford Wheelers with them taking home various stage , overall and club prizes , well done to all.
