Slipstream Cycling Club would like to wish all our members a happy and prosperous new year! Any club members that have not yet renewed their membership and applied for their 2012 Cycling Ireland licence please arrange to do so as soon as possible . Membership remains unchanged again this year but Cycling Ireland fees are up €5. We STRONGLY advise all members to take out a Cycling Ireland Licence even if only touring. By allowing unlicenced, uninsured riders take part in club organised events, either touring or racing, we are leaving the club wide open to the risk of litigation in the event of accident or injury to a third party. Our advice from Cycling Ireland is that a club policy should be in place that allows riders take part in club events (non racing) for 3 or 4 weeks on an introductory basis but they then must become club members and take out the relevent licence for racing , touring, mtb , race marshal's must also hold a no racing licence too.From 2012 C.I. will only be accepting online registration.To join or renew just log on to CyclingIreland.ie and fill in the required information.The club will then need to rattify your application before you can proceed to pay for the registration so please ensure that you have paid your club membership first . PS PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY RIDER NOT HOLDING A CURRENT 2012 CI LICENCE CAN NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING RACES OR LEAGUE EVENTS |

Hello , The SLIPSTREAM CYCLING CLUB are always on the look out for new members with or without racing experience , our members meet up every weekend when the racing season is over for training spins leaving Gorey at 10 am sharp , new members( from 12 yrs on both Male & Female) can contact the following people for more details about the club and the events that we run and participate in through out the year.
